Privacy Policy

Evolve (evolve.day) is a personal development app: you picture your future self, set goals and commitments, and build a daily practice around them. The things you write here are personal, so this policy is written to be read — plainly, without surprises.
Who we are
Evolve is operated by Anton Chernikov (“we”). For anything in this policy, contact anton@evolve.day.
What we collect
- Account details — your email address, name, and password (stored only as a secure hash), or your Google account’s name, email and profile if you sign in with Google.
- The content you create — your visions, goals, reflections, conversations with Future Self, and any images or recordings you upload. This content is yours; it is private by default and shared only where you explicitly choose to share it (for example with a circle you join).
- Usage analytics — inside the app: first-party, content-free events only (which screens are used, counts, settings choices), never anything you have written, and no third-party analytics. On our public marketing pages — this website's landing, sign-up and legal pages — Google Analytics runs only if you accept analytics cookies on the cookie banner. Google Analytics never runs inside the signed-in app.
How we use it
- To provide the app: storing your content, syncing it between your devices, and showing it to people you have chosen to share it with.
- To power AI features you invoke: when you use Future Self or generate a vision image, the relevant content is sent to our AI providers to produce the response, and for no other purpose.
- To send you the emails you’d expect — invitations, notifications you have turned on, and password resets.
- To understand how the product is used, through the content-free analytics described above.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your content for advertising.
Google sign-in
If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google, and use them solely to create and identify your Evolve account. Evolve’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Who processes data for us
- Supabase — our database, authentication and file storage (hosted in London, UK).
- Render — hosts the app itself.
- Anthropic — powers AI conversation and text features.
- fal.ai — generates vision images from composed descriptions.
- ElevenLabs — voice features, only if you connect your own ElevenLabs key.
- Resend — delivers our emails.
- Google Analytics — visitor measurement on the public marketing pages only.
Each processes data only to provide their service to us. Your content is not used by us to train AI models.
Cookies and local storage
We use your browser’s local storage to keep you signed in and to remember device preferences — that is the necessary category, always on. Everything else is optional and asks first: the cookie banner offers analytics and marketing categories with equal Accept and Reject, your choice is remembered (and follows your account if you are signed in), and withdrawing consent deletes the cookies below. Change your mind any time via “Privacy choices” in the footer or in the app’s Privacy settings.

Keeping and deleting your data
Your data is kept while your account exists. Delete your account, or write to anton@evolve.day, and your account and content will be deleted.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to or restrict our use of it — write to the address above. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).
Age
Evolve is not directed at children and is intended for people aged 16 and over.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so in the app. The date at the top is always the date of the current version.
